The Japanese Good Luck flag, also known as the “Yosegaki Hinomaru” in Japanese, is a special type of Japanese flag used during World War II. These flags were often personalized by friends, relatives and colleagues of Japanese soldiers leaving for military service, and were usually accompanied by wishes for happiness, success and a safe return.
