Silver coffee/milk jug (0,25cl) of approx. 15cm high from hotel “Der Deutsche Hof”, at the bottom is the swastika in a wreath.
Typical war souvenirs such as these were captured by American soldiers.
During the Third Reich, the hotel became an important location for NSDAP party days and other NSDAP meetings. Nuremberg was an important city for the Nazis, and the hotel was often used to house high-ranking Nazi officials and foreign diplomats during the annual party days, where important announcements and speeches were made.
After the Second World War, the hotel was seized by the Allied troops and used for military purposes.
