Mother's Cross or Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter in bronze on a cut ribbon.

Introduced in 1938 by Adolf Hitler, it was intended to honor and encourage German mothers to have and raise children.

The Mother Cross was awarded to German women who met certain criteria. There were three classes of the mother cross:

  1. First Class (Gold): Awarded to mothers with eight or more children.
  2. Second Class (Silver): Awarded to mothers with six or seven children.
  3. Third Class (Bronze): Awarded to mothers with four or five children.

The Mother Cross encouraged women to have many children and was considered a form of recognition and praise for their contribution to the Third Reich.
