Feldpost of 2 brothers 1938 to 1943

More than 300 letters and cards from 2 brothers (Erwin and Hugo) to their parents in Germany in the period from 1938 to 1943, from their time in the RAD to the Wehrmacht.

Erwin was a Feldwebel and Zugfüher in the 13. Company of the Infanterie-Regiment 290 (Feldpost number 13524). On June 18, 1942, Erwin sent his Urkunde for the Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939 to his parents. On December 14, 1943, Erwin died in a hospital in Germany as a result of the injuries he had sustained at the front. Erwin was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class, the Verwundetenabzeichen, the Infantry Sturmabzeichen and the medal Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42. Erwin rests on the Kriegsgräberstätte in Welzheim (Germany) on row 27, grave 8.

Hugo was in the Netherlands in May 1940, given the card he sent to his parents on May 30, 1940. Hugo had several Feldpost numbers as sender, including RAD Abteilung 5/291, HPP 5/2 staffel Bad Cannstatt and 00533.

We have not looked at everything, but it is a very nice group of Feldpost that has never been in collector's hands before!
