The Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen was instituted on June 1, 1940 and could be received by soldiers who could not qualify for the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen or Panzerkampfabzeichen.
It was worn on the left breast of the uniform of the Wehrmacht, but was also allowed to be worn on the uniform of the party and state.
To receive the Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen one had to:
– after 1 January 1940;
– with a weapon in hand
– with 3 attacks at the front;
– and fought for 3 days.
