Original collection box of Winterhulp Nederland (WHN) numbered 1493. Winterhulp Nederland was a foundation founded on October 22, 1940 by State Commissioner Seyss-Inquart. According to Article 2, the aim was: "It is the task of the Foundation to provide help and support to the destitute Dutch nationals living in the occupied Dutch territory without regard to persons". The support to people consisted of vouchers and goods such as food, clothing, etc.
