Very nice group of Gefreiten Wilhem Unland of the 1. Gren.Rgt 516. Wilhelm Unland was killed on 20 January 1942 near Raj-Alexandrowka in the Ukraine. He was carrier of it Iron Cross 2nd Class. Then Infantry Sturmabzeichen and the Medal Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42 (Ost Medal).

This group consists of:

• Landhelfer Letter from Wilhelm;
• registered field mail announcing Wilhelm's death;
• his Wehrpass with notes including MP38/40, his promotion to Gefreiten and his awards
• Remembrance card / memorial card of the church;
• registered field mail with forwarding of the certificate and medal Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42;
• medal Winterschlacht im Osten (Ost medal) of the rare maker 25 (Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Graveur-, Gold- und Silberschmiedeinnungen – not often found);
• bag of medal Winterschlacht im Osten from the maker Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Graveur-, Gold- und Silberschmiedeinnungen from Hanau am Main (not often found);
• the portrait of Wilhelm Unland.
