Beautiful, worn “Schießauszeichnung” by the maker M1/148 Heinrich Ulbrichts from Vienna. This decoration was awarded to Hitlerjugend members over the age of 16 who had successfully completed a shooting test.

To get the "Schiessauszeichnung" Hitlerjugend members had to do certain shooting exercises.

Members aged 16 and over fired a small bore rifle at a range of 50 yards at a target 33 inches in diameter with 12 rings. They had to achieve the following scores:

– 5 shots lying down with support: no shot below 8, or 5 shots hit 45 points;
– 5 shots lying without support: no shot below 7, or 5 shots hit, 40 points;
– 5 shots while kneeling or sitting: no shot under 5, or 5 shots hit, 30 points.
