Nahkampfspange in bronze by the maker Funcke & Brüninghaus from Lüdenscheid, complete with plate. It concerns the 2nd variant of Funcke & Brüninghaus. On the back are the letters F&BL. A very nice copy from a maker that is hard to find.
Of the Nahkampfspange in bronze, only 36.400 in total were awarded to soldiers who had experienced at least 10 days of hand-to-hand combat, during which they could see "the white" in the enemy's eyes. Soldiers who were captured lost their right to the Nahkampfspange. A special award.
