Beautiful zinc worn Panzerkampfabzeichen in silver made by the maker Friedrich Linden from Lüdenscheid, marked FLL 43 on the back. The panzerkampfabzeichen has most of the finish still intact. A more difficult variant to obtain.

This insignia was instituted on December 20, 1939 by the Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres (Supreme Commander of the Army) Generalfeldmarschall Walther von Brauchitsch.

The Panzerkampfabzeichen in silver was awarded to tank crews and other members of armored units for participating in three or more different battles on separate days. These battles had to be of considerable scale and involve hostile action against the German armored forces. Involvement in combat was an important criterion for awarding this award.
