Original pin of the Japanese Imperial Veterans Association in an original bamboo box.
The badge is approximately 28×44mm silver-washed alloy badge with a fouled anchor and crossed swords on a pebble background on the obverse, over which a brass five-pointed star is applied. On the inscribed back is a vertical pin and pawl assembly. These were given, in many minor variations, to veterans of the wars in China, Korea and Manchuria, as well as those against the allied nations. The pin does not close properly.
