A very nice SS-FM (Förderndes Mitglied) pin in very nice condition. This pin is numbered A3709 and made by Deschler MCHN-9.
These pins were made for people who were not on active duty in the SS, but who sponsored them financially. The SS-FM was founded in 1926. Members paid monthly. The first 99.999 pins came unlettered for the number, but series A, C, D, E, H, J, K, and L followed for the next hundred-thousand members. The letter A before the number means that this pin belonged to one of the former members, which makes it more special.
