Beautiful, original German Steel Helmet M35 with both decals Heer. The shell is from the maker Quist (lot number 757) and the size is 64. The steel helmet has its original paint, but there are some superficial rust spots. The bowl is stamped on the inside with the dome stamp. The interior is also from 1938 and has size 56, but the maker is not completely visible. A name is visible on the inside (K. Wolf?). A beautiful original helmet and a jewel for any Second World War collection.

The German M35 steel helmet, also known as the Stahlhelm M35, was an iconic military helmet introduced and extensively used by the German armed forces during World War II. This helmet was a further development of the previously introduced M1916 steel helmet, which was used during the First World War.

The M35 steel helmet had several distinctive features:

1. Steel Construction: As the name implies, the helmet was made of hardened steel, which provided effective protection against sharp shards and gunshots.

2. Sleek design: The M35 helmet had a simple and recognizable design with a smooth, rounded shape and a wide brim that extended over the forehead and back of the neck.

3. Riveted Leather Chin Strap: The helmet was secured with a leather chin strap riveted to the sides of the helmet.

4. Interior: The helmet had a padded interior to improve the wearer's comfort and to absorb shock and vibration.

The M35 steel helmet was issued to soldiers of the German Heer (Army), the Luftwaffe (Air Force), and the Kriegsmarine (Navy), and it remained in use until the end of World War II.
