The “Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen” (Loyal Service Award) was an award established to recognize long and loyal service in government and party positions. It was instituted on January 30, 1938, on the occasion of Adolf Hitler's birthday, as a way of rewarding loyalty to the regime.

The Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen was mainly awarded to civil servants, Nazi Party officials and other government and organizational employees who served loyally and fulfilled their duties for a certain period of time. There were several classes of the award, depending on length of service:

Bronze Class: For 25 years of service.
Silver Class: For 40 years of service.
Gold Class: For 50 years of service.
