Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939 (52) Gottlieb & Wagner
Very nice Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939 in the ring marked with the number 52 for the rare maker Gottlieb & Wagner from Idar-Oberstein. The cross comes from Spain and was awarded to the Spanish soldier in German service (the name is not known to us).
The box did not originally belong to the Iron Cross, but was specially made for this purpose after the war, as this often happened.
The Iron Cross 2nd Class was awarded approximately 3.000.000 times during the Second World War.
