Description
Extremely rare brooch from the Germaansche Landdienst of 40mm.
On thursday, July 9, 1942, 400 Dutch boys and girls over the age of 16 left for East Prussia to work with farmers on the land. Another 200 followed on July 28, 1943 to “Oostland” (the Eastern territory) to colonize “vacant” areas. The Germaansche Landdienst had to safeguard the food production of Europe, according to the Chief of Staff of the Jeugdstorm, Opperbanheer C. Quispel Szn.
The brooch is slightly bent but otherwise in excellent condition. A unique item!
